Eye liners were first used in Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia as dark black lines around the eyes. In the early 10,000 BC, Egyptians and Mesopotamians wore various cosmetics including eye liners not only for aesthetics but for protecting the skin from the desert sun. Eye liners are commonly used in daily make-up routines to determine the eye or create a wider or smaller eye appearance. Eye liners can be used as a tool to create different looks and highlight different features of the eye. Eye liners can be placed in different parts of the eye to create a different look with winged eye liner or tightly bound on the water surface. Eye liners can be drawn on the upper eyelashes or under the lower lashes or both, even on the line of your tears. The main goal is to make lashes look fertile, but also attract attention to the eyes and can improve or even change the shape of the eye.
